Will Antawn
Jamison end up in a Nuggets uniform,
or, in an unprecedented move, will
he remain a Net because of a trade
veto? |

Shout-out to my man
Nick James. I love you.
But man, talk about a great few hours in
Jambolia message board history. I, for one,
enjoyed it. It might be because I had
nothing else to do on Sunday night, but I
love when I'm cursed out on a message board
for no real reason.
(Cue the slow piano.)
Montage of Jon Hansen typing like a fiend at
his keyboard and laughing maniacally about
his latest onslaught of trades.
A close-up shot at
the IM from Jon to Noah Curran, "You should
tell
Insert GM Here
that he should totally do the deal ... :-D
Andrew Keating squirting maple syrup in
his mouth from the bottle. Because he is
from Canada.
Marc Ryan yelling into a microphone.
Donald Ellsworth is throwing rocks in his
glass house and then updating his trade
block for the 16th time in the span of 13.3
seconds.
Shane Veinot doing whatever it is one does
in Nova Scotia.
Trevor Allison lifting weights and drinking
raw eggs.
Then it cuts to a dark room, where Nick
James quickly is Google-ing what the term
LBJ23 means.
Finally: Jambolia – Where wtf happens.
Seriously, though, this was a huge week in
news. We might start vetoing trades. I'm up
in the air on that subject, but I've never
seen this many deals go down where they're
lopsided.
I think we're taking into account that we're
losing money and being penalized a bit too
much. We do realize it's funny money we're
going to be losing, right? Nothing actually
comes out of your pocket.
Also, Rich Minkovsky (needs more Bucks) is
right. You really should pay attention as to
who(m) you are trading and to whom. I
respect the fact that you're trying to
better your team only. But when you make a
team like the Nuggets THAT much more better,
that means that you're, in essence, putting
yourself into a bigger hole.
That is like the Memphis Grizzlies trading
Pau Gasol to the Lakers for his brother and
some cookies...
But I digress.
I don't really care that New Jersey gave
away Antawn Jamison like that because it was
just a big salary dump and he wanted to get
something done. But, why not at least make a
trade block or see what else is out there?
For someone that isn't that vocal or active,
even when your team is well below .500, why
make a bad trade like that and then defend
your actions when you could have gotten
more.
Well no one was offering for Jamison or
giving me a good deal.
Maybe that is because you never went out
looking for one? It's not my fault
Chris Jon Hansen shows up everywhere
you look. Also, why not trade him for picks
or something if you're sitting at 20-32.
Because I don't know that Rafer Alston and
Antonio McDyess is really anyone's solution
to a problem regarding winning basketball
games. Tony Battie might be, though.
Anyway, here are a few other things worth
mentioning (or at least worth me typing
them):
- My bench is better than Noah's. Fact.
- I still hate being in the East. Fact.
- I hope Chris Breezy doesn't go to jail.
Fact.
- The Wizards GM is mad his deal will be
vetoed. Fact.
- Damn you Shane for getting to 40 wins.
Fact.
- Chris Paul > Deron Williams. Fact.
- Portland should still trade Allen Iverson
before the deadline. Fact.
- I somehow face the biggest uphill battle
from second to first place in the league.
Fact.
- Needs more Bucks. Fact.
